We've seen Epic's Unreal Engine used in a few action titles, but what about sports games? Thankfully, Vivid Games will answer that question later this year, with its upcoming iOS fighter,Real Boxing.

Featuring motion capture filmed in state-of-the-art facilities in Poland, the game's developers hope to unleash the most realistic boxing game on mobile, complete with lifelike boxers, pulverizing hits and plenty of blood. On top of that, computer opponents will feature adaptive A.I., while the game will also include four unique settings based on real world locations (three indoor, one outdoor), character customization (think skin color, tattoos, shorts, shoes, boxing gloves) and the ability to train one's character in preparation for a difficult career mode.

"We're investing very significant resources into Real Boxing to raise the bar for sports games on iOS and make this an exceptionally high quality title," said Remi Koscielny, CEO of Vivid Games. "By combining the power of the Unreal Engine with lifelike motion capture and thrilling gameplay, players will feel every hook, jab and uppercut, giving them a truly unique boxing experience on their iOS devices."

The teaser doesn't show the game in action per se, but based on the screenshots, we like what we see so far.
